The Museum of Jurassic Technology

The World is Bound in Secret Knots

The Museum of Jurassic Technology’s wing dedicated to Athanasius Kircher refabricates a number of Kircherian projects that were included in his College of Rome wunderkammer. These include his experiments with magnetism such as A Magnetic Oracle, which comprise wax figures and magnets suspended in glass spheres—and A Botanical Clock that uses a sunflower to tell the time.
