Beautiful Science: Ideas that Changed the World, Huntington Library

The Observation and Evolution sections of the Natural History Gallery in “Beautiful Science: Ideas that Changed the World,” a permanent exhibit at the Huntington Library. Beautiful Science opened in November 2008, and has been one of the institution’s most successful exhibits in its history. The “Observation” section is meant to evoke a kind of Wunderkammer feeling, through the use of illustrations from rare books and manuscripts.
